Orlando Car Rental Travel Guide - Norway Pavilion

The Norway pavilion is an extremely popular one with EPCOT visitors. There is a Viking ship playground within this building that children will absolutely love that is the perfect backdrop for an Orlando family vacation photo. Adults and kids alike will thrill to the excitement of the Maelstrom water ride within the Norway pavilion, as well.
Maelstrom is a ride so popular, that it is the only thing within EPCOT’s World Showcase that has a FastPass available for it.
The ten minute water adventure aboard a 12-passenger Viking ship employs the use of Audio-animatronics and special effects to explore the history and nature of this beautiful Scandinavian country.
While on board the Norway pavilion’s signature ride, be on the lookout for the mischievous, magical troll who will cast a spell on your vessel, sending it on a backwards tumble through the rapids of the Jutenheimen mountain region. Just as your boat is about to go crashing backwards down a waterfall, your doom is averted by a rocky passageway that pitches you forward, past a grand fjord and into the North Sea.
After experiencing a North Sea ocean storm, your Viking ship settles into a tranquil little fishing village, where you disembark and are shown into a theater. During the film that follows, guests will leave the Orlando vacation area and; instead, take a tour of Norway. The movie is an excellent opportunity to take in the geography, people and customs of this Scandinavian country
WARNING: If you would like to experience this attraction during your Orlando car rental vacation, you should be free from any heart conditions and pregnant women might also be advised to take a pass on it.
The Stave Church in the Norway pavilion is a replica of the Gol Stave Church, found in Oslo, Norway. Inside, you will see numerous Viking artifacts including authentic weaponry as well as figures depicting some of Norway's most prominent historical people, including Eric the Red, Rognvald, and Olaf II.
In the Norway pavilion’s shops, guests may purchase beautiful hand-knit Norwegian sweaters, authentic Scandinavian jewelry, unique pewter crafts, handmade straw Christmas ornaments and mischievous-looking troll dolls.
The Kringla Bakeri og Kafe at the Norway pavilion offers visitors tantalizing delights including candied pretzels, rice pudding with strawberry topping, open faced sandwiches and Lefses - a thin potato bread rolled with a cinnamon, butter and sugar filling.
If you visit the Norway pavilion at the right time, you may get to experience the lively twenty minute Norwegian folk show performed by Spelmann’s Gledje.
Vikings, a movie, a ride and trolls! Where else can you experience all of this - just a short drive away in your Orlando car rental. If you haven't done so yet, you can reserve your Orlando car rental here.
