Orlando Car Rental Travel Guide - Mexico Pavilion

The Mexico pavilion at EPCOT, is one of the more popular countries in The World Showcase. Maybe it’s because of its proximity to Future World. Maybe it’s because visitors to EPCOT simply love Mexican food. Or, maybe it’s because the Mexico pavilion is one of only two countries that has a ride housed within it!
El Rio Del Tiempo is the popular ride inside of the Mexico pavilion. Often called “It’s a Small World of Mexico,” this leisurely boat trip explores the history of Mexico with colorful Audio-Animatronic dolls and short film clips, culminating in a beautiful fiber optic fireworks display.
Inside of the Mexico pavilion, Casa Mexicana is home to the Pakatilchi family. Here, you can take part in the art of Mexican mask making, watch a puppet show and learn firsthand about Mexican culture.
Guests can explore some of the many Mexican artifacts as they walk through The Art of Mexico and shop for souvenirs and gifts including Mexican clothing, jewelry, piñatas, sombreros and home decor. Who would even want to come home from their Orlando vacation without a sombrero from the Mexico pavilion?
At San Angel Restaurant, visitors may dine on authentic Mexican cuisine in the shadows of a volcano. If you would like to have dinner here, make sure you make a reservation when you first enter the park, as this is one of the more popular restaurants inside of EPCOT. Outside of the Mexico pavilion, guests may partake in lighter Mexican fare, order a margarita or sample Mexican beer at Cantina de San Angel.
Mariachi Cobre is a twelve piece band that provides traditional Mexican entertainment outside of the Mexico pavilion. During inclement weather, they move their act indoors.
Most car rental companies' rental agreements forbid you to drive their cars into the actual country of Mexico. Why not do the next best thing and drive your Orlando car rental to EPCOT and head over to the Mexico Pavilion at Future World? If you haven't done so yet, you can reserve your Orlando car rental here.
