Permanent Collections
The Cornell Fine Arts Museum is the most highly recognized institution of its kind in Florida, boasting more than 6,000 permanent works of art - the largest and most distinguishable collections in the entire state! Influential works that are permanently housed within the museum include numerous Italian Renaissance paints like the Madonna and Child Enthroned by Cosimo Rosselli, works by Louis Sonntag and numerous European and American pieces. Museum benefactors including the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, Rollins trustee Jeannette Morse Genius, George H. Sullivan and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Myers. Renovations to the new Cornell Fine Arts Museum were paid for by the generation contributions of George and Harriet Cornell, graduates of the Rollins College in 1976. Their generation one million dollar donation has been used to construct not only the gallery, but also to stock it with nearly 700 additional works.
